AgroFloral understands the importance of having its own breeding program, which was started in 2004 to bring new varieties to the market and maintain strong market differentiation in its products. Every year more than 100.000 new seedlings are being tested to select the best 0,1%. Our aim is to constantly improve bulb growth, number of flowering stems per bulb, number of flowers per stem, disease resistance, flower size and post harvest performance, among others. In 2017 our first variety was released and licensed as Red Fantasy®, while in the following years we have registered the varieties Red Victory(R) and Andes Sunshine(R). In addition to our already mature breeding programme for pot plants, we have started our own breeding programme for wax amaryllis, which will surely deliver more than one nice result in the coming years.
